Located in the heart of Winnipeg’s historic Exchange District and two minutes from Portage and Main, U. N. Luggage has been serving travelers for over 50 years.

Incorporated in 1945 as United Nations Luggage, it is owned and operated by Peter and Elsie Thiessen who have turned the old warehouse at 175 McDermot Avenue into one of Canada’s premiere bag shops specializing in luggage, business cases, handbags and catering to their customers with personalized, friendly service, knowledgeable staff and an on-site repair shop.

The Repair Department at U. N. Luggage is run by two highly experienced service men who have been at their trade for over 20 years. As well as looking after walk-in customers, we handle warranty repair work and airline claims. We not only repair suitcases, we also repair garment bags, business cases, backpacks, handbags, golf bags and more! Normal turnaround time is one week, but we are also able to accommodate rush repairs.
